Help needed!

There’s a brand new misophonia study that has been setup by King’s College London, a fantastic university.

This one is online so anyone can take part, as long as you’re over 18.

It takes approximately 40 minutes and you can access it here:

Take part in the latest online misophonia survey This survey is now closed.

Here are the key points:

  • It’s an online study for adults, aged 18 and over and it takes around 40 minutes. They are looking for people from a wide range of backgrounds to take part who experience of issues relating to sounds sensitivities. You can be from anywhere in the world
  • You will be asked to complete questions from their new questionnaire about your experiences of sound sensitivity, potential trigger stimuli, reaction to triggers, and family history
  • You’ll also be asked to complete questions about you, such as your age and whether you have experienced any mental health difficulties
  • There is an optional second part of the study where they ask you if you’re happy to complete a shorter questionnaire two weeks later. If you want to do this, you will be asked to provide an e-mail address (this is completely anonymous and your address will not be logged)

I’ve taken it and it’s very well set out and easy to follow. The questions are thoughtful and almost all answers are in a multiple choice or sliding scale format.

However, try to do it in one sitting, otherwise you’ll lose where you were on the study.

There are a few pages of blurb at the start of the study which lay out all of the above and some other points in more detail. You can find a little ‘next’ button on the bottom right of the page to start the quiz.

I think those are the main points.

Thanks so much for supporting the study if you do decide to take part!
